The City of Galt contracts with Sacramento County for Animal Control Services.  The Galt Police Department works directly with the Bradshaw Animal Shelter to provide quality services to the community.  Please dial 311 or 916-875-4311 for assistance. 

If you locate a stray animal, you may bring it into the Galt Police Department to determine if the animal is chipped.  Galt PD will attempt to locate the owner.  If the owner cannot be found, Sacramento County Animal Control Services will be dispatched to pick-up the animal. 

If you find an injured animal, please call the Galt PD non-emergency line at (209) 366- 7000 and an officer will be dispatched to the location and determine if Animal Control should respond. Please do not bring any injured animals to the Galt PD.
