Public Works solid waste The City of Galt places a high priority on providing excellent solid waste and recycling services to the community. The City achieves these goals through the award of an exclusive solid waste franchise. The award of an exclusive franchise guarantees that all residents and businesses receive reliable collection services at a reasonable rate by requiring minimum performance standards as conditions of the franchise. The franchise also ensures strict adherence to all environmental requirements and City ordinances. Currently, California Waste Recovery (Cal-Waste) holds the Solid Waste Collection franchise for the City of Galt. A variety of solid waste container sizes are available to meet state compliance requirements, and resident and businesses service needs.
