Galt Police Department Officers and other allied agency first responders are on the front line of public safety in our community. The number of threats that create emergency and crisis management situations continues to rise, making rapid response, integrated and coordinated communication and notification critical in almost every community. From violence and terrorism to severe weather and road closures, threats and risks increase the need for law enforcement agencies to deploy mass notification solutions for robust, reliable, and streamlined communications. When every moment can impact situations ranging from the abduction of a child to an active shooter in a public location, the Galt Police Department currently relies upon one mass notification system for critical event communications. Access to this system is available at no cost to members of the community and can be accessed on several on-line platforms.
SMART911 EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM
All public safety agencies in Sacramento County have partnered to have access to a state-of-the-art community emergency notification system to alert residents about emergency events and other important public safety information.
When notifications are issued via the Smart911 Alert System about a potential safety hazard or concern, you will receive a message on the voice or text communication methods you have registered. If requested for notification, you can confirm you have received the message and you will not be contacted by any subsequent methods regarding that particular notification. If you do not confirm, the system will continued to reach you at all of the contact paths you have registered.
