Any commercial vehicle or combination of vehicles as defined in Section 260 of the California Vehicle Code having a gross vehicle weight rating (GVW) of weighing 10,001 pounds or more, with an origin or destination point within the city, of freight, merchandise or load, must drive on streets designated as local truck routes. These vehicles may leave to local truck route only to pick up or deliver freight, merchandise, or load, within the City of Galt, and must do so from the local truck route point that is closest to the destination site. These vehicles must return to and use the local truck route to make subsequent deliveries or pickups. Residential streets shall not be used unless the delivery or pick up destination is on that street or immediately adjoining streets. Commercial truck routes are as follows:

  1.  Lincoln Way from the south city limits to Live Oak Avenue on the north;
  2.  F Street/New Hope Drive from the west city limits to Lincoln Way;
  3.  C Street/Boessow Road from the east city limits to Lincoln Way;
  4.  Simmerhorn Road from east city limits to Lincoln Way;
  5.  Amador Avenue from Elm Avenue to Carol Drive;
  6.  Elm Avenue from west city limits to the intersection with Amador Avenue;
  7.  Carol Drive from Amador Avenue to intersection with Ayers Lane;
  8.  A Street from Fairway Drive west to west city limits;
  9.  McFarland Avenue from A Street to north city limits;
  10.  Fourth Street from A Street south to F Street;
  11.  Industrial Drive from Elm Avenue north to Live Oak Avenue 
  12.  Live Oak Avenue from Industrial Drive to Lincoln Way;
  13.  West Stockton Boulevard from Live Oak Avenue to Twin Cities Road;
  14.  East Stockton Boulevard from Ayers Lane to Twin Cities Road;
  15.  Fairway Drive from A Street to Glendale Drive; and
  16.  Crystal Way from Boessow to south end.
