The City understands that economic development is essential to providing an exceptional quality of life for residents of Galt. The City’s adopted Vision is to “… be a premier family-oriented community united to create a unique city with diverse shopping, dining, entertainment, and employment opportunities within a small town atmosphere."  With this Vision in mind, the City has placed economic development amongst its highest priorities.

The Economic Development Division is managed by the Economic Development Manager who coordinates closely with other City departments to ensure business development and growth is actively promoted in the City. The City seeks a hands-on approach that provides a high level of customer service to help make any business or development opportunity succeed.
