The purpose of the Public Safety Committee is to act as an advisory committee to the City Council and to evaluate any public safety issues within the community brought to the committee's attention by the City Council, City staff or residents, and to make recommendations to the City Council.
The committee shall confine its business to general public safety issues and shall not engage in discussions or address issues that relate to the internal operations of the city, including the police department. Items to be discussed by the committee include such matters as traffic and pedestrian safety, special events, the Emergency Operations Plan and other public safety issues.
The Public Safety Committee meets on the fourth Monday, every other month, 6:00 pm, 455 Industrial Drive.
