An atmospheric river is expected to arrive tonight, bringing widespread rainfall, gusty winds, and thunderstorms through Friday. The City of Galt would like to remind Residents and businesses to take necessary precautions and allow more time when traveling in inclement weather.

Here are some important precautions and resources available:

Do Your Part to Prevent Flooding:

Clear storm drains, gutters, and debris from sidewalks and yards to prevent flooding. Remove leaves, branches, and other debris from streets and gutters.

Sandbag Station – Remains Open

Location: North of the Municipal Services Building, 495 Industrial Drive (north gate)

Details: Self-serve sandbags and sand available.

Important: Bring your own shovel. Limit 10 sandbags per household.
