Notice of Upcoming Construction – Carillion Deep Well Project

The City of Galt Public Works Department is currently working on the design of a new deep well at the Carillion Well site, located at 1018 Di Maggio Way. As part of this design, a test well will be constructed to gather groundwater data.

Construction of the test well is scheduled to begin next week and is expected to be completed by the end of December. Work will generally occur Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Due to the specialized nature of drilling and well development, some operations must run continuously, including 24-hour activity, to ensure proper well construction and accurate data collection.

Tentative dates for 24-hour operations are:

• October 21 – November 4

• November 17 – December 5

During these periods, residents in the area may notice temporary noise from equipment and support vehicles, construction lighting at night, and increased truck traffic. The City will take reasonable steps to minimize impacts to nearby residents.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change based on field conditions, equipment availability, and weather. Any major updates or changes will be communicated to residents as soon as possible.
